This is a quick daily reading or math practice activity for students. They are differentiated, so that you can have 3 different levels of students.
How do I use this product?
I create products that I see for a need for in my own classroom.
I use this product for morning work. In our building students stagger into the classroom 10 minutes before the bell. I needed something quick to get their minds working, but I didn’t want it to take too long either. We only do a problem a day, and then they can choose a busy box to play with until the bell rings. I am able to quickly check their work and star their paper before the bell. I like that it gives me a quick idea of how they are doing.
I also wanted it to tie in our lessons in math and reading. Many of the activities are meant to build fluency in an area and provide review of others.
I plan on printing several weeks at a time into a packet. If a student flies through the packet, I will move them up to the next level.
How do I differentiate?
My main goal is to create products that can by differentiated to individualize instruction in the classroom.
This product makes it easy, it is already separated into three different levels.
BELOW: The low is meant to scaffold activities from class. I didn’t want to go too far below grade level as I want these students to get exposure to on grade level work too.
ON: On grade level activities to build fluency in math and reading
ABOVE: Scaffolding for activities not taught yet or above grade level. Sometimes activities are the same as ON grade level as they still need to be working on fluency.
