9 pages that will reinforce essential math skills for the early elementary years, as addressed in the Common Core State Standards. I have differentiated the materials so that there is one sheet for your lower level/on level students and a more complex sheet to challenge your higher level students. It makes my first graders use higher level thinking to solve missing addend problems and word problems, and even write their own word problems.
-2 missing addends sheets, w 1 differentiated word problem on the bottom: one on level and one higher level sheet
-2 writing your own word problem sheets, both with an example at the top: lower level with easier numbers, higher level with higher numbers and writing a second part to a two-part word problem
-2 missing addends pages with 3 equations equaling the same number: one with sums up to 20, and one with sums between 20 and 30. (I give these both to my higher level first graders, and my on level first graders are able to do the first sheet. My lower level students have not tried this.)
-2 missing numbers sheets mixed with addition and subtraction, includes 1 differentiated word problem using a symbol to solve: one on level and one higher level
-1 true equations sheets reinforces the importance of the equal sign. Circle the equations that are true and cross out the ones that are false.
**Addition sheets include a mix of problems with 2 addends and problems with 3 addends.
**Sheets include a mix of equations with the sum/difference at the beginning of the equation and at the end of the equation.
**Set 1 sheets are on level/lower level and set 2 sheets are for your higher level students.
