This morning work which is differentiated for use daily in a classroom.
There are two levels provided:
Page 1includes boardmaker visuals of the season and weather. The student is expected to circle the daily weather. There is a thermometer image to fill in the temperature. The five school days of the week are printed in traceable format.
Page 2 is for higher leveled students who are asked to write a word that describe the weather. This page also includes a thermometer image to fill in the temperature. There is space for 3 daily super sentences. Here I write a topic on the board and the student writes sentences that include a description word, who or what, did what, where and when.
Page 3 could be used as the back of both morning works, and it is a grid for a daily word sort. This could align with any word sorting program you use in your classroom; I personally use Words Their Way. I copy this on the back of the morning work. Students each have an individualized word sort in their desk for daily practice.
