This set of differentiated mystery pictures will provide first and second graders with the opportunity to review Common Core Numbers and Operations in Base Ten Standards. Students will be able to practice reading and writing numbers to 100, adding and subtracting within 100, and determining the value of numbers presented with tens and ones to 100. Each mystery picture includes three levels of differentiation:
*Level 1 – Students read and find the numbers on the hundreds chart. Students color the numbers by code.
*Level 2 – Students solve the addition and subtraction equations. Students find and color the numbers on the hundreds chart by code.
The hundreds chart can serve as a tool to help students practice adding within 100 OR as a scaffold for students working on mentally adding and subtracting within 100 fluently.
*Level 3 – Students name the number that is presented in base ten by counting the place value blocks. Students find and color the numbers on the hundreds chart by code.
