Outside Reading Assignment
Creating a culture of free reading in your classroom begins with a simple choice, to include a basic reading assignment in your curriculum. From there, you can expand your program as much as you want.
Inside this packet you’ll find a differentiated reading assignment you can give your students during any or all of your school terms, and a rubric to grade it. Students choose what grade and number of pages they want to aim for. Then they choose the books they want to read, write reflective reviews on each, and turn them in at the end of the quarter.
This assignment is adapted from my larger outside reading bundle. Check it out if you want a whole suite of products designed to encourage reading independently.

How to get TPT credit to use on future purchases:
• Please go to your My Purchases
page (you may need to
login). Beside each purchase you'll see a Provide Feedback
button. Simply click it and you will be taken to a page where you can give a quick rating and leave a short comment for the product. Each time you give feedback, TPT gives you feedback credits that you use to lower the cost of your future purchases. I value your feedback greatly as it helps me determine which products are most valuable for your classroom so I can create more for you. ☺
