Are you looking for a hands-on and engaging perimeter activity that promotes critical thinking? If so, you've come to the right place!
This document has THREE different levels (low, middle, high) to best meet the needs of all of your students. The levels are indicated discretely right next to the name line as (l, m, h) so that it's not obvious as to who is in each level.
This activity challenges students to apply their shape knowledge by creating designated shapes on their geoboards with rubber bands. Students also are challenged find the perimeter of the designated shapes, create shapes on their geoboard to match a given perimeter, and design their own unique shape and calculate its perimeter.
To incorporate technology or if you don't have access to geoboards, you can use the sheets with this interactive online geoboard! :)
