Research shows that differentiated instruction is effective for high-ability students as-well-as students with disabilities. This set of 3 differentiated task cards and activities will meet the needs of your students with varying abilities. Set A provides a step-by-step guide, both for introducing this concept or for your struggling students. It provides all of the steps necessary for reducing fractions to their simplest form. Set B provides some visual cues but no written directions. Set C provides no support and is most appropriate for your confident mathematicians - also great for test prep! Each set has 26 cards. You can laminate, hole punch, fasten with a binder ring and use the student record sheet (provided,) or the students can use a dry erase marker, then check their answers with the self-check option. This resource also includes an anchor chart with step-by-step instructions - very similar to the format of Set A - and a quiz with an answer key. You will find a teacher answer key with the answers all on 1 page as-well-as individual task card answer keys if you would prefer students to self-check. If you have students that still need practice finding factors and multiples, click here for some fun activities.
