My differentiated story elements booklets can be used for a guided lesson (post on the interactive whiteboard and do them together), as an independent activity, a partner activity or even in a center.
I use it with my first graders, but it could be used at the end of kindergarten with support (use the drawing pages) or at the beginning of second grade for review.
Pages include, title, characters, settings, beginning event, middle events, ending event, problem and solution. Pages are half sized (2 pages on each sheet).
The document is set up so you are actually printing 2 booklets at one time. I put 2 staples on the left side, cut the book in the middle and y have 2 copies ready to go!
Version 1 has handwriting lines for beginning writers.
Version 2 has an empty space for students who need to draw (and maybe label) a picture.
Version 3 has lines that allow for more detailed sentences (single lines).
A teacher's notes page is included.
Note: The smart board version of this lesson includes THIS product in the attachment tab. Do not purchase if you own the smart board lesson.
