This assessment was designed to make grouping students into differentiated groups easier for your time unit! This assessment helps you identify student's current skills with time all the way from introductory/basic skills through fractions of time and elapsed time word problems.
The range of skills in this assessment include all of the following:
-identifying minute hand and hour hand
-writing the time (hour and minutes) using a colon
-reading a calendar
-days of the week and months knowledge
-identifying time on digital and analog clocks
-converting digital times to analog times and vice versa
-telling time to the hour, half hour, quarter hour, 5 minutes and 1 minute
-partitioning clocks into half and quarters
-AM vs. PM
-converting units of time
-fractions of time
-elapsed time (word problem; with and without visuals)
There is also an answer key provided, as well as two forms of grading/grouping guides to aid you in the process of creating differentiated groups.
