This is a telling time game that I created for my students.
Note: Each game will require 1 small student clock with moveable hands, student game pieces, and dice.
This game includes:
-Mild, Spicy, Hot labelled game board
-Mild Time Cards
-Mild Answer Sheet
-Spicy Time Cards
-Spicy Answer Sheet
-Hot Time Cards
-Hot Answer Sheet
Mild = Easy (o'clock, quarter past, half past, quarter to)
Spicy = Intermediate (:05, :10, :20, :25, etc.)
Hot = Difficult (:07, :18, :46, etc.)
I recommend printing the mild cards and answer sheet on green paper, spicy on orange or yellow paper, and hot on red paper. This will make it easy for students to differentiate between decks.
On the student's turn, they must pick a mild, spicy, or hot question card depending on which spot their token is on the game board. Each question card has a time on it. The student must create that time using their analog clock. Once finished, the other players will check the student's clock, and compare it with the clock on the answer sheet for that time.
If correct, the student may roll the dice and move to the next space!
My students love playing this game, and I hope yours will too!
Arrange students in mixed ability groups to facilitate coaching.
