This set includes twelve differentiated mystery picture puzzles on the hundreds chart.
There are four different pictures (a cup of hot cocoa, a Valentine envelope, hearts and the words "V DAY") on the theme "February & Valentine's day" and for each picture there are three different puzzles to choose from. The puzzles range from basic number searches to addition and subtraction of two-digit numbers. The more advanced puzzles are designed to help the children notice patterns and develop their mental math skills.
I marked the worksheets with one, two or three elephant symbols, depending on the skills required, to make it easy even for the students themselves to pick the right level. This is how it works:
"one elephant" = simple number search on the hundreds chart.
"two elephants" = simple additions and subtractions within twenty, building numbers by adding tens and ones, computing +1,-1,+10,-10 of a number.
"three elephants" = mental addition and subtraction of two-digit numbers.
I hope this helps. Please take a look at the preview for more details.
