This product will give your students practice with the concepts of diffusion, osmosis, facilitated diffusion, and active transport. The task cards give students instruction on each type of transport as well as practice differentiating between the types of transport. The following concepts are covered in these task cards:
- facilitated diffusion
- active transport
- protein doorways
- concentration gradient
- selectively permeable
- ATP energy
Students will be required to answer questions in a variety of ways including defining, short answer, labeling diagrams, drawing diagrams, justifying and providing evidence for answers.
These task cards can be used in a variety of ways. There is enough information about passive and active transport that these task cards could be used as a form of introductory instruction. These task cards can also be used as a follow up to instruction as practice. As a change to individual work, use these task cards in science centers to practice knowledge of active and passive transport.
