The purpose of this exercise is to help students learn or review vocabulary and remember the macromolecule structures. I typically either copy these onto card stock or onto paper that I later laminate. After you make the copies cut out the pieces and place them in either a plastic baggy or an envelope. I usually number each set in case a piece gets separated. Make sure you keep one copy uncut that you can use as a key so you can circulate and check your students as they work. The students will take the pieces out of the envelope and organize them so the terms are facing the correct definition. The center box in marked with a “C” to give them a starting place.
