This adjective one pager is both print and digital. I always want students to connect grammar to other parts of class. For this one pager, students will search for adjectives in book titles. Introduce the young adult literature from your classroom library (or school library) while practicing grammar in action.

One goal for all teachers is for students to engage with language. Students will find adjectives in book titles with this grammar lesson.

This product includes:

One Pager
Place books around the room and let students search for titles with adjectives. In the "funky frames" one pager, students will highlight the adjectives from book titles.

Choose a book!

Students should settle on a book. (Hopefully, this is a book they will read.) After identifying the adjective(s) from the title, students will think of synonyms and antonyms for the adjective. They will recreate a book title and summarize what their "new" book is about.

Extension Activity
Ready to incorporate creative writing? Ask students to write the first page of their new book. A writing rubric is included.

Lesson Plans

I have included one page of instructions.

This grammar review allows teachers to differentiate easily. You can tie grammar to other areas of content (in this situation, young adult literature). I created this so my students realize that the impact of language in real life.

The lesson includes three pages for student creations: the one pager, the creation of the new book title, and the writing activity. You may not use all of the pages; the length of this assignment is your choice.

Ready to take the plunge and never buy another grammar activity again? This grammar review bundle is in a larger package. Everything needed to differentiate grammar lesson plans is in the Complete Grammar Curriculum. Buy today and have access to updates for all grammar products, for life!
