Description

Are your kindergarten students excited to read, but don't have a lot of word knowledge yet? Let them start reading with my digital alphabet sentences! This resource can be used for guided reading, independent literacy centers, homework, tutoring, or whole group instruction.

How can my students use this activity?

There is a one-page included for each letter of the alphabet. Every letter has its own page with four sentences that read "[Letter] is for [word]" - such as "A is for apple."

The exception to these pages is for the letter X. The page for X reads "[Word] ends with x." - such as "Fox ends with x."

Students can read the sentences on each page. Then they can drag and drop the matching image to each sentence. This is similar to a cut and paste activity.

What program(s) does this resource use?

This digital center was created with Google Slides™ and can be used in your Google Classroom™.

Will you have access to my Google Drive?

No! Your download comes with links for you to make a copy of each Math Movers resource.

I thought this was a Google resource. Why am I downloading a PDF?

The PDF includes the links to your resources.

Do I have to use all the slides?

No, just use what you need. You may find it is best to send your students a few pages at a time so they are not overwhelmed. I highly suggest creating a master copy of the original file in your Drive. Then create a copy to make any changes to (such as deleting or rearranging slides).

Do you have more resources that cover this skill?

Yes, you can find all my alphabet activities here.
