Product Description

This is a digital version of my Area Task Cards. There's also a hybrid print/digital version available.

These task cards can be used on a computer that has PowerPoint installed OR a device that is connected to the internet and has access to Google Slides.

These 18 task cards will help your students review key geometric concepts.

Make your students experts at finding the area of shapes. It’s so necessary for them to be able to identify shapes, use formulas, and use the Pythagorean Theorem to find the lengths of missing sides in right triangles.

Standards:

CCSS.Math.Content.8.G.B.7 Apply the Pythagorean Theorem to determine unknown side lengths in right triangles in real-world and mathematical problems in two and three dimensions.

CCSS.Math.Content.7.G.B.4 Know the formulas for the area and circumference of a circle and use them to solve problems; give an informal derivation of the relationship between the circumference and area of a circle.

CCSS.Math.Content.7.G.B.6 Solve real-world and mathematical problems involving area, volume and surface area of two- and three-dimensional objects composed of triangles, quadrilaterals, polygons, cubes, and right prisms.

Instructions:

1. Upload the Task Cards to your Google Drive. (BOTH teacher and students need Google accounts. These are FREE.)

2. Open the Task Cards in Google Slides

3. Give each student a copy of the Area Task Cards Answer Sheet
