Description
A Thanksgiving inspired digital breakout escape room. Countdown to the Macy’s Day Parade. The Thanksgiving parade begins in 30 minutes and your parents locked the TV remote in the toolbox. Try to solve all the clues to open the toolbox and get the remote!
**Please be sure that your IT does not block Google Links that have a shared setting of "anyone with a link" if you plan to use this resource.

I have included a NO PREP version of Balloons Over Broadway - Digital Breakout.
The NO PREP version is ready to go, just "make a copy" for each student and then share (Google Classroom works best! If you do not use Google Classroom, you will need to be able to share the link with your students e.g. Seesaw, a class webpage, Wakelet, QR Code, etc...).

Lock 1 - Students will sort words in ABC order.
Lock 2 - Students will solve a Rebus.
Lock 3 - Students will put the events of Balloons Over Broadway in the correct order.
Lock 4 - Students will choose the correct vocabulary word to complete the sentence.
FAQ:
1. Should I use present mode? No, students need access to the entire slide deck.
2. Where do I find the clues? Students should click on the "Click HERE for the clue," then click on the long BLUE URL. Some clues "force" students to make a copy. This allows them to manipulate the resource. Once the clue is solved, students will need to return to the original slide deck. (Be assured that students catch on quickly)
3. Where do students click "submit?" In order for students to "breakout", you will need "Click HERE or Click HERE to unlock the lock," then click on the BLUE URL.
Each slide contains one link to the clue and one link to the lock. This should be the only prep you need, once the Google Form lock links have been added, just share with your students in Google Classroom, ensuring to select "make a copy" for each student.
