Digital Breakout Escape Room (Google Slides) End of Year (3-5)

Description
Just in time for summer, students will have a blast solving the clues in this end-of-year digital breakout escape room. Summertime is just around the corner. Time for some rest, relaxation, and FUN! The school bell may stop ringing, but the learning never will!
A student answer page is included!
If your district blocks Google links that have a shared setting of "anyone with a link," here is a No PREP Digital Breakout Escape Room (Google Forms) - Summer Shenanigans - No Google account is needed.
**Please be sure that your IT does not block Google Links that have a shared setting of "anyone with a link" if you plan to use this resource.** If this is the case, you will need to make a copy of the clues and insert the new link into the slides. If you need assistance, please reach out to me at shenvalleyveganteacher@gmail.com.
I have included a NO PREP version of Summertime Shenanigans - Digital Breakout.
The NO PREP version is ready to go, just "make a copy" for each student and then share (Google Classroom works best! If you do not use Google Classroom, you will need to be able to share the link with your students e.g. Seesaw, a class webpage, Wakelet, QR Code, etc...).

This Digital Breakout Includes:
Step by Step Directions - Print
Student Google Slides w/ locks
Answer Key and Clues
Number Lock - Students will determine the pattern. They will need to calculate how many seconds are in a day and subtract that number from the first slide until they reach zero.
Color Lock - Students will type in a = adjective, v = verb, and n = noun for 20 different words.
Direction Lock - Students will solve each word problem then find the matching beach ball. I would recommend allowing a calculator. (3rd graders may need additional assistance).
Word Lock - Students will determine which word is the antonym. Each antonym contains a letter. The letters will need to be unscrambled to spell the clue.
FAQ:
1. Should I use present mode? No, students need access to the entire slide deck.
2. Where do I find the clues? Students should click on the "Click HERE for the clue," then click on the long BLUE URL. Some clues "force" students to make a copy. This allows them to manipulate the resource. Once the clue is solved, students will need to return to the original slide deck. (Be assured that students catch on quickly)
3. Where do students click "submit?" "Click HERE or Click HERE to unlock the lock," then click on the BLUE URL.
Each slide contains one link to the clue and, one link to the lock. Just share with your students in Google Classroom, ensuring to select "make a copy" for each student.
Please feel free to reach out to me. My students really enjoy using Google Slides to "breakout!" It provides the scaffolding many need to be successful with such tasks as critical thinking, communicating, collaborating, and problem-solving!
