If your district blocks Google links that have a shared setting of "anyone with a link," here is a No PREP Digital Breakout Escape Room - Happy Birthday, Dr. S (Google Forms) - No Google account is needed.
**Please be sure that your IT does not block Google Links that have a shared setting of "anyone with a link" if you plan to use this resource.
I have included a NO PREP version of Happy Birthday, Dr. Seuss - Digital Breakout.
The NO PREP version is ready to go, just "make a copy" for each student and then share (Google Classroom works best! If you do not use Google Classroom, you will need to be able to share the link with your students e.g. Seesaw, a class webpage, Wakelet, QR Code, etc...).
Early finishers? Have them complete this digital mystery hundreds chart - Digital Hundreds Chart Mystery Picture - Cat
Do your students love to code with coding robots?
Here's a fun activity to practice rhyming words and coding together - Coding Robots (Bee-Bot & More) - Rhyming

Step by Step Directions - Print and Video
Student Google Slides w/ locks
Answer Key and Clues
Lock 1 - Students will select the Dr. Seuss book for each quote using a Google Form. Once each student completes the Google Form have them Submit. They will need to pay attention to the feedback for the clue.
Lock 2 - Students will unscramble the Dr. Seuss characters and then add or subtract each letter.
Lock 3 - Students will put the events of Dr. Seuss' life in order.
Lock 4 - Students will fill in the blank and then navigate through a Dr. Seuss maze.
FAQ:
1. Should I use present mode? No, students need access to the entire slide deck.
2. Where do I find the clues? Students should click on the "Click HERE for the clue," then click on the long BLUE URL. Some clues "force" students to make a copy. This allows them to manipulate the resource. Once the clue is solved, students will need to return to the original slide deck. (Be assured that students catch on quickly)
3. Where do students click "submit?" Students will click "Click HERE or Click HERE to unlock the lock," then click on the BLUE URL.
Each slide contains one link to the clue and one link to the lock. Just share the Google Slide with your students in Google Classroom, ensuring to select "make a copy" for each student.
Please feel free to reach out to me. My students really enjoy using Google Slides to "breakout!" It provides the scaffolding many need to be successful with such tasks as critical thinking, communicating, collaborating, and problem-solving!
