Within our increasingly digital world, where children are engaging with online material and social media from very young ages, it is crucial that digital citizenship is a key component of our teaching!
I designed this unit to target various aspects of digital citizenship in order to build a positive classroom culture that supports responsible and safe use of technology. The activities adopt a student-centred approach and encourage classroom discussions surrounding what it means to be a positive digital citizen and how students can handle various situations that may arise when using digital media.
This unit has been divided into the following sections and each section contains ready-to-go printables, activities and mini-lessons:
