Do your students need a basic identification activity for the parts of speech? This parts of speech activity will work with Google Drive to study the eight parts of speech. When I needed an alternative to an eight parts of speech worksheet, I created this engaging parts of speech activity.

You may share it with students digitally or print it for them. Because four student pages are included, I typically use this activity across multiple days with students.


◊ Definitions of the parts of speech.

◊ Twenty sentences with underlined words. Students will then write the word in the appropriately labeled box.

◊ Five sentences per sheet with a focus on only four parts of speech. This grammar activity is intended to be very scaffolded.

◊ Answer key.

This digital grammar activity provides practice for the eight parts of speech: nouns, pronouns, adjectives, verbs, adverbs, prepositions, conjunctions, and interjections. I intentionally scaffolded the options on each page (please see pictures) to use this digital grammar activity as a review and reinforcement tool for studying the eight parts of speech.
