    Resource Directions:

Word Decoding Cover Slide: Have students write their names and date in this slide so they do not have to write it on each page if that is easier for you.

Drag & Drop Decoding Slides: These slides can be used as a practice or assessment of reading skills that have been taught. Children sound out the four words next to the picture and drag and drop the black dots onto the bubble next to the word that best describes the picture.

Write-In Word Decoding Slides: These slides can be used as a practice or assessment of reading skills that have been taught. Children say the name of the picture and then type in the letter sounds they hear in the boxes provided below each picture.

Word Decoding Answer Key Slides: Answer Keys are provided for each word decoding slide in the resource. If students are working independently you can provide them with the answer key slides for self-correcting. If you are using this as an assessment have them fill out the slides you are providing and have them submit their answered slides back to you.

    Other Word Decoding Suggestions:

Test Preparations: I prepared these Google Slides for my students to practice their word decoding skills and as a practice for their big end of the year reading test.

Center Time Activity: You could use these Google Slides as a center activity. Assign certain slides for students to do. You can have the answer keys provided if you would like them to self-correct their own work.

Assessment Check: Use these Google Slides as an assessment to check if your students know a certain sound or combination of sounds. You could use a combination of slides to check certain skills and individualize them for students depending on their skill levels.

Use these easy prep word decoding Google Slides for center activities or assessments!
