Description

Math centers are an effective and engaging way to have your students practice and apply key math skills. However, they can take a lot of prep work. Digital math centers and activities are the perfect solution!

Using digital math centers can give you all of the same features of math centers (engaging, interactive) but without all the prep! And you can easily differentiate your centers with a few clicks on your computer!

About the 5th Grade Decimal Digital Math Centers

*This resource includes links to access 25 Digital Math Centers to review various decimal skills (from conceptual to writing decimals).

*These digital math centers are created for use with Google Slides. They may be used on other platforms, but support and assistance is only included for Google Classroom.

*Each digital math center includes more than one slide with most containing 6-8 slides.

*These digital math activities are not meant to be used for just review. They are meant to be used to truly supplement your instruction and provide meaningful practice as you are teaching the different math skills.

*You will likely not use all of the math centers in this resource with all of your students. This was intentional. This will allow you to use some of the math centers with all of your students and some with only those who need it (for support or for extra practice.)

*These are also excellent options for hands-on digital math practice at home.

Where Are the Google Slides Links? The details and links to access the centers begin on page 3 of the PDF titled Digital Math Centers LINKS to ACCESS.

Where Are the Answer Keys? The answer keys are included in the folder labeled Answer Keys. They are divided into separate PDFs so you can upload them as a way for students to self-check (if you wish). Teacher and student Instructions are included in the folder to help you with this.

Read and write decimals to thousandths using base-ten numerals, number names, and expanded form, e.g., 347.392 = 3 × 100 + 4 × 10 + 7 × 1 + 3 × (1/10) + 9 × (1/100) + 2 × (1/1000).
Recognize that in a multi-digit number, a digit in one place represents 10 times as much as it represents in the place to its right and 1/10 of what it represents in the place to its left.
