This guide was designed to help teachers use a grid to explore symmetry. The guide shares a weblink to a free digital manipulative, instructions for using the manipulative, suggested uses, and example questions. Students are asked to complete shapes so they are symmetrical and to create symmetrical shapes.
Because of the length of the resource, I am not offering a preview. Please see my other Digital Math Manipulative products for a similar representation of this resource.
Common Core Standards Addressed:
CCSS.Math.Content.4.G.A.3 Recognize a line of symmetry for a two-dimensional figure as a line across the figure such that the figure can be folded along the line into matching parts. Identify line-symmetric figures and draw lines of symmetry.
