Get your students comfortable with analyzing and interpreting premade graphs, building graphs and data displays from scratch, and finding mistakes in data displays based on good attributes of data displays.

are slides with purposefully planned data displays to get K-2 kids talking about data, graphs and their attributes. There are multiple graphs or displays for each area...20 total data talks. Each area has both 2 and 3 category displays. Here are the categories addressed with these talks:
• Picture graphs (2 vertical, 1 horizontal)
• Bar Graphs (1 vertical, 2 horizontal)
• Tally Charts (2)
• Table (1)
• Pie Chart (2)
• Venn Diagram (1)
• Find the Mistake (picture and bar graphs addressing the following graph attributes: sorting categories, directionality, labels, overlaps, starting point, and gaps)
• Build a Graph/Display (vertical picture graph, horizontal bar graph, display table, venn diagram)
