Use these 18 colorful task cards in Google Drive to help students analyze and close read nonfiction pieces, including essays, columns, news articles, editorials and letters. Each card contains a specific topic (punctuation, sentence structure, mood, etc.) and questions or prompts that students use to answer and highlight important parts of the text. Great for small group, partner or individual work! The task cards can be used with ANY nonfiction piece of your choosing.
