So many teachers are being asked to add technology to their curriculum without the help of a computer teacher or technology specialist. How does the regular classroom teacher make sure that they are trying a variety of presentation options for their classroom?
At my school we were finding that classroom teachers are using technology, but it just wasn't getting into their plans. Why is that? At the same time there are so many new sites, software, apps out there that my peers are feeling there is too much to choose from. We don't want to use the junk! Rather then listing hundreds of options, this form designates presentations by category.
The document that is attached was created for the teachers at my school because it provides a quick glance and checklist. (Originally used in elementary classroom.) With this list you can ask yourself, am I really having the student create productive assignments or just using web sites. If the mission is problem based learning or STEM throughout the day, this list can help with the engineering and presentation components.
