Description

Students click and drag letters in this Phoneme Substitution Activity for Easel Activities AND Google Slides Digital - Change A Letter - For Kindergarten and First Grade

❤️ 20 Pages/Slides - 12 different pages/slides, each with 7 cvc word pictures and 8 pages of optional oral directions and answer keys.

✅ Each subsequent picture is a word made by changing just one

letter/phoneme of the previous word as shown in the thumbnails.

✅ As students progress down the slide/page, each new word is made by

changing just one letter/phoneme of the previous word.

✅ Students look at the first picture, decide what it is, build it in the boxes by clicking and dragging the letters.

✅ Next, there are answer boxes for the students to TYPE each word,

✅ There are OPTIONAL ORAL DIRECTIONS to guide students through each slide/page to make it a bit easier.

❤️❤️ NOTE: The first 5 slides have only consonant changes at the beginning or end of each word. There is one slide for each of the 5 vowels to make the activity less difficult at first. There is a slide with 7 short a words, 7 srt e words, 7 short i words, 7 short o words and 7 short u words.

The remaining 7 slides have mixed vowel sounds. Students change either the beginning sound, vowel sound, or ending sound to make each new word.

❤️ An answer key is provided as well.

❤️ I have also created directions for you to do this as a listening activity.
