Research and technology skills are key skills for students of all ages. Intermediate students (grades 3-6) must learn the basics of research, as middle and high school rely heavily on these skills. The research forms in this product include 10 graphic organizers. Students begin with creating a KWL chart about their topic. Then, they form 3 questions about their topic that will drive their research. After forming their questions, students use resources to answer their questions. They will write down resource identification information, as well as what they gather from the specific resource. Finally, students will form paragraphs around the information that answers their questions.
The final step for research is up to you. You may wish to have students write a formal paper with their information using Google Docs, create a poster or pamphlet, or some other publishing idea you may have. There are tons of ways your students can share what they have learned. The key is to give your students the tools and support needed to gather the right material to make their final product stunning. That’s the benefit of this product!
Since many classrooms are going 1:1 with Chromebooks and tablets, this product is sure to be a hit with your students, while allowing you to meet technology standards in a meaningful, rigorous way.
Please refer to my TOU in the download. Your purchase gives you a limited license to share this with your students in your own classroom in order for your students to complete the lessons. Please leave questions in the Q and A section.
