Product Description

The Digital Self-Esteem Project is a Google Slides file that puts a digital twist on a popular art therapy activity. Boost students' self-esteem by helping them focus on positive words to describe themselves. After printing the portraits, create a class book or display the portraits in the hallway. Your students will be full of pride as others check out the positive words they have chosen to describe themselves!

Project Steps:

❶ Share the included Google Slides template with your students

❷ Students select from a variety of 20 portrait styles (male and female portraits included)

❸ Students choose from 40 positive words to describe themselves and place them around their portrait

❹ Students share their Slides file and send it back to you to be printed

❺ Students color their printed portraits

What is included?

A Google Slides template with 20 editable portraits

A colorful sign that can be used for a class book cover or hallway display

10 discussion questions to use after students have completed the project

Technology Skills:

Prior to starting this project, your students should be familiar with the following Google Slides skills:

→ How to delete slides

→ How to add a textbox

→ How to move, resize, & rotate text

→ How to share a Google Slides doc

Not ready to go digital? (Or, is your technology down for the day?)

The 20 blank portraits can be printed directly from Google Slides

A word bank of all 40 words is provided and can be given to students as a handout or displayed on the board

Students can write their chosen words with marker around their selected portrait
