What's included in this resource?
Digital ebook—You will get a link to make your own copy of the digital ebook. This copy can be saved in your own Google Drive and is for one classroom use. Additional licenses for this resource are available for a discount.
How to use the digital ebook: The larger text is meant for young readers to be able to read and as a vehicle for students to say the academic vocabulary word within context. The extra, smaller text engages students with a thoughtful discussion on a young reader’s level. Lastly, students will complete the interactive part on each page by responding with text or a moveable piece for engagement and quick check assessment.
1-page printable for students—In the PDF, you will find a 1-page black and white printable. Students will fold this into a small book to keep. It will have 4 small pages to it: a title and 3 of the pages from the ebook.
How to use the 1-page printable for students: Students now own a piece of this learning and can read it, as well as teach parents and others about their new vocabulary. This is perfect for a home-school connection, involving parents with that day’s learning.
BONUS—Included in the PDF you will find each page of the book on their own pages in color and black and white for your own use. Add this to the ebooks section on your iPads or tablets for your classroom, project on your classroom projector without the use of the internet, print a larger book for a paper format to add to your classroom library, or use it with inclusion students in your classroom.
