We use a portable word wall in my physical classroom but this year I knew that wouldn’t be a possibility. My students need a word wall of their own to use at home and in the classroom when we return. Enter this virtual word wall!
My favorite thing about it is that it is ! Every letter is already linked for your students in Google Slides! All they have to do is click on “Present” and they will be able to click and use their own word wall on their device!
This resource is saved in Google Slides. The direct link is inside this file. When you click on it, you will be prompted to make a copy of your word wall. This copy will be added directly into your Google Drive!
Detailed instructions are included to show how you can share this resource easily with your students via Google Classroom.
Yes! Just download this file as a PowerPoint presentation from Google Slides and when you click on Slideshow, the interactive links will work the same way.
- I used the first 500 Fry’s sight words for this resource, which is what we use in my classroom. There are no words on the X or Z lists. I did include those pages so that you can add words of your own. I left the interactive tables in there so you can easily add your words.
- The word lists are editable but the letter buttons on the home screen, home button, and the text in the pastel areas are not editable.
- You will need Google Slides in order to use this resource. Google Slides is FREE with your Google account!
*Important: I've been receiving many messages regarding downloading and accessing Google Slides resources. The link is inside the PDF titled "Digital Word Wall". This PDF must be opened using a PDF reader. The one I use is Adobe Reader. It is very reliable and FREE! If you try to open this with Preview (the default on Macs) the PDF will not open. If you need any help, please leave me a Q&A with your email address so that we can message easily.
