Skilled readers recognize patterns in words rather than sound words out letter by letter. Readers can use word parts to decode words by using what they know about one word to decode another. Recognizing word parts helps students become more skilled at decoding so that they will eventually be able to decode longer words. This highly-engaging, digraph Jeopardy game is a HIT in any k-2 classroom!
This is a printable, digraph Jeopardy game with cards to be used in a pocket chart. The following digraphs are included: sh, ch, th, ph, and wh. Both color AND black and white cards included!
I created this for my first graders but it would be appropriate for kindergartners as well as second graders in RTI.
