Help students practice digraphs through word sorts and typing the words. There are pictures included so students focus on the sound and to help ELLs. There are also words for students to practice reading.

Picture Sorting Cards

Introduce the th, ch, and sh digraphs (and consonant sounds that are similar, including s, h, t) using pictures in color and black and white. Pictures cards come with just the picture, picture and word, and just the word. The images help ELLs understand the vocabulary that is used and allow students to listen for the short vowel sound when they are sorting.

Print Activities

Student Sorting Cards

There are smaller sizes of sorting cards for student use. There are also worksheets with pictures for students to cut out and glue.

No Prep Practice Pages

There are three levels of spelling practice. One where students write the digraph (or consonant sound that is similar) one where they spell the word with an included word bank and one where they write the word next to the picture.

Digital Activities

Picture Sorting Slides

Students drag pictures, pictures with words, and words under the correct digraph or similar consonant (th, sh, ch, t, h, s). Sorts include beginning, middle, and ending sounds.

Match the Digraph

Drag the digraph next to the correct picture.

Spelling Practice Pages

Students type the word next to each picture using a word bank.
