Practice Adventures of the Superkids Unit 1 digraphs and memory words with this engaging phonics card game. I love the Superkids Reading Program, but I find my students need additional, isolated practice of skills learned in each unit. Use this reading game as a center activity, intervention reading game, or for small group tutoring.
Are your students needing digraph practice? Wanting to keep the learning fun before it becomes frustrating, I created this camping themed read and keep game.
54 diagraph word cards are included (sh, ch, tech), 6 memory word cards (I, my, he, she, her, his - all underlined to distinguish), as well as 12 'change it up cards.' The goal is to get the most cards, and the game suddenly stops when students pull a card telling them to 'stop.'
Directions are included with easy to read sight words and pictures, and suggestions for volunteers are included.
I hope you and your students enjoy! This type of card game is quickly becoming a class favorite for my firsties. I love that they are still learning and also how little prep it is (even when laminating). Place the cards in a can (save those coffee cans!) or a small paper bag, and your kids are set to go.
