These activities provide daily activities for one full week of activities for each digraph plus a review of all digraphs at the end.
A sample schedule can be as follows:
Day 1: Circle map. The teacher and student brainstorm words with the sound and draw a picture and write the words on their circle map. There are also 6 colored picture cards for beginning sounds and 6 picture cards for ending sounds that can be used to introduce students to the vocabulary.
Day 2: Foldable books. Copy the two pages back to back. Fold the paper to create a little book. Students then copy the words. These can help with vocabulary.
Day 3: Flip books. Students create flip books for the words. I then have them read their flip book to three friends
Day 4: Sort. Students sort by beginning and ending sound.
Day 5: Application: Students apply their knowledge of beginning or ending sounds and use it in their writing. They identify the picture and use it in a sentence. There is also a word search that can be copied on the back of the page this day.
