This product provides practice with dilations. Students will have an opportunity to define dilations in their own words. They are guided to explain what happens when a dilation is completed and to explain whether or not the images are congruent to each other. The first page has students graph the pre-image and two additional images (one shrink and one stretch) on the same coordinate graph. Students are also asked to examine the area and perimeter of the images. After looking at the totals, students are asked to describe what happened after the dilations were completed. The second page has students use colored pencils to match ten graphs to the correct dilation.
An answer key is included.
