This dramatic play is great for a pre-K or Kindergarten classroom and offers ways for students with limited speech to communicate with their peers.
Print all pages off on cardstock and laminate.
P. 5 or 6 choose the sign you want to you use for the diner.

P. 8 diner menu. Print on cardstock and laminate. Cut in half. Staple together into book.
P.9 students can get nametags. Print on cardstock and laminate. Cut apart. Place cards on a lanyard. Have students use a dry erase marker to write their name under their job and they can wear their nametags.
P. 10 Receipt. Students will use a dry erase marker to write how much the meal cost.
P.11 students will use the ticket order to circle the items students want and then give it to the cook to make it.
P. 12 I want… prompting. Place Velcro behind food items and on holding page of your choice. One for everyone to use (p. 13) or if you want each child to have their own (p. 15-16). Students will request the food items that they want and the waitress/waiter can circle those items on the ticket order.
