Dinner Help! is an engaging activity that can be used in math menu/stations, independent enrichment, small group or whole group settings. In the activity students choose 5 different recipes (10 recipes included) to help their parents meal plan for the week. The students then use the ingredient measurements from the chosen recipes to determine how much of each ingredient they will need when they go grocery shopping. The ingredients are broken down into fractions, so students will be adding fractions to determine total amounts. Students can use fraction strips to add up each ingredient in needed.
