For an unusual classroom experience to end your reading of F. Scott Fitzgerald's The Great Gatsby, have your students participate in a classroom dinner party!
Students will use what they've learned from the novel to participate as a character from the story. They'll plan their era-appropriate costume, figure out what their character's motivations are, and will decide what kind of questions they want to ask their fellow characters...all to culminate in a classroom festivity of fiction and fun!
This resource contains a student planning packet which will help everyone prepare for a swingin' time with Jay Gatsby and company.
A great way to practice textual analysis, characterization, and inference!
