Designed for children 3-5 years old with a need for structured learning task, my Dinosaur Counting File Folder Game is the beginning of teaching numbers and counting.
I'm at the point where I'm ready to start introducing the concepts of counting and numbers to my students, but they're still really struggling with learning new skills and slowing down enough to let me teach the new skills. In considering these learning behaviors, I came up with what I think is a great way to structure learning to count. Each file folder has circles with a 1-10 dinosaur in each circle. The circles are outlined in a color and all the dinosaurs in the circle are the same color. The matching pieces have the numbers 1-10 on them, also on circles and the circles are a solid color which matches the color of the shape. So, for example, there are 2 turquoise dinsoaurs and the matching piece is a turquoise circle with the number 2 printed on it.
Includes: a page with 1-5 dinosaurs in circles, a page of matching pieces with the numbers 1-5 typed in a clean primary font, a page with 6-10 dinosaur in circles, a page of matching pieces with the numbers 6-10 typed in a clean primary font, and a how to page for putting the game together.
