Product Description
This is a group or partner project. I have noticed that high school students are interested in dinosaurs just as young ones are. I wanted to give them an end-of-the year project that would allow them to research a dinosaur, but also require them to do a little more "thinking." I wanted them to place their dinosaur on the chart attached to show that they understand the time frames involved with dinosaurs and also wanted them to understand their "size" by placing the "teacher" on the poster with their dinosaur. I also wanted them to do a detailed drawing of the dinosaur, showing what their conjectured body covering looked like. The project proved to be quite interesting and fun! I started with a video of dinosaurs (there are a lot out there) and then assigned the dinosaur names. There are so many dinosaurs, that you could allow them to pick their own and then find it's place on the chart. I added one question to this project and that was to give at least three ideas as to why dinosaurs disappeared and give an explanation of each theory.
This project can be adapted to younger grades also.
