Dinosaur Workpages {Pg. 4-5}
Use these workpages as your learners study dinosaurs.
Paleontology {Pg. 6-9}
Sing the song to introduce paleontology and place the tools on the
poster to help describe what a paleontologist needs to complete
their job. Finally, have the learners draw and label the tools a
paleontologist uses on the workpage.
Dinosaur Words & Song {Pg. 10-13}
Post the dinosaur words cards in the writing station or on a word
wall. Sing the “Dinosaur, Dinosaur” song to begin the dinosaurs
lessons.
Fine Motor Workpages {Pg. 14-16}
Have the learners practice using a pencil and coloring with the
workpages provided.
Dinosaur Labeling {Pg. 17-20}
Use the posters and work pages to label the parts of a dinosaur.
Dinosaur Diet {Pg. 21-23}
Have the learners use pictures from magazines and ads to sort
what carnivores, herbivores, and omnivores ate.
ABC Match {Pg. 24-35}
Have the learners sort the capital and lowercase letters on a
pocket chart. As an extension, have them place the letters in
alphabetical order.
Initial Sound Center {36-62}
Have the learners place the picture cards on the correct letter
mat.
Matching Center {Pg. 63-67}
Have the learners play the game of Concentration using these
cards.
Rhyming Eggs {Pg. 68-74}
Have the learners match the rhyming sets on the rhyming mats.
Extend the center by having the learners think of a new rhyming
word.
Sight Word Graphing {Pg. 75-80}
Have the learners roll the dice and create a graph on the graphing
mat or workpage.
Play Dough Numbers {Pg. 81-92}
Have the learners use play dough or pompoms to form the
numbers 0-10. Have the learners place the correct number of eggs
on each mat.
Counting Center {Pg. 98-104}
Glue the egg circles on the end of a clothespin and place it on the
correct number for each set.
