This is a Dinosaur Picture Word Card mini-set for primary students. My projects and sight word emergent readers are designed with the Pre-K, Transitional Kindergarten, and Kindergarten Student in mind.
This themed collection of picture cards are very colorful and can be used in a variety of ways. The set was developed to be used in a primary setting when teaching new concepts. The cards and games are also great to use with your English Language Learners. These picture cards can be cut apart and used in a pocket chart, cut apart, hole-punched and put on a metal binder ring, or bound and used as a picture dictionary. They are great for teaching vocabulary and can be used at a writing center as a reference for students as they are writing and / or a springboard for writing ideas.
This set includes:
**Vocabulary Picture Words Cards
**Vocabulary Picture Word Writing Center Charts for Journal Writing, Writer's Workshop, etc. The charts can be used to encourage students to use the vocabulary words as a springboard for writing.
**Vocabulary Cards Without Words
**Vocabulary Picture Card Memory Match Game Cards

I recommend running the project on cardstock for durability. I also recommend laminating, again for durability. If you choose to make a picture dictionary, I recommend using a binding machine and binding combs. I use a larger than necessary binding comb for students to avoid having the dictionaries come apart.
