Product Description
This grammar unit uses the song 'The Price of Love' by White Lies (can be listened to on YouTube) to introduce and practice:

- punctuating direct speech
- turn direct speech into reported / indirect speech

The song allows the students to become 'detectives' who have to figure out which characters are speaking in the lyrics (the speaker / husband, the kidnapper, or the wife), and students should use the lyrics to put together the mystery of who kidnapped who and what the situation is.

The song also makes grammar more accessible, memorable and fun to teach.

The package consists of:

- Worskheet with song lyrics (without speech marks) and an answer key.
- Accompayning PowerPoint (which I have converted into a PDF that you can use on any device - you do not need PowerPoint to use it), and it will look great on any screen).

Enjoy!
