Product Description
Looking for a fun way to incorporate fine motor and visual perceptual skills into the classroom, these guided drawing activities can do just that. Use as a following direction or giving direction activity, drawing activity, fun party game, occupational therapy, speech therapy or classroom activity.
Included in this resource are pictures and step by step verbal directions for drawing the following: penguin, snowman, bunny, flower in pot, butterfly, flag, jack-o-lantern, apple tree, house and person.
Also included are simple pictures of a Santa face, gingerbread man, Easter basket, leprechaun face, witch, pilgrim and turkey that can be used as models for drawing activities or coloring pages.

Ask students to picture in their mind what they will be drawing before you start the directions. Have students listen to directions and draw the details as you read the steps. Show the picture as a model or hold off until the end to see if their picture looks like what was being described? Add to directions as needed based on students age and abilities.

*Hang the simple pictures on the board and have students draw their own and color. They can also write a story about their picture.
*Introduce some opposite brain facilitation and have them draw with their non-dominate hand.
*Have them look at the picture, read the steps then complete the drawing blindfolded or with their eyes closed.
*Have students draw on cardstock or a paper plate over their head. Read instructions and/or show them the picture of what they need to draw on their head without looking at what they are doing.
*Have the students work in a small group, only give the picture to one student and have them describe it so that the others can draw.
