Product Description
This bundle includes 25 sets for math practice through the year using "MATH PICTURES" original designs.

It's like Directed Drawing for MATH!
This set includes over 700 math task cards!

NOTE: There are some FREE SAMPLE PAGES in the preview! Just download and print to practice ODD/EVEN numbers with your class. Remember to copy the math task cards back to back! The numbers have already been organized on the answer page so you can print double-sided and have the correct answer on the back.

NOTE: This set is part of a larger bundle that uses task cards for PHONICS and PHONICS SENTENCES! The format is the same, but the content covers all spelling patterns for the year as well as math!

Directed Drawing for MATH

Directed Drawing for PHONICS

THE ENTIRE YEAR BUNDLE (huge savings!)

Math Pictures is a simple and game to use all year in your math centers, skills practice time, or small group lessons!
Math Pictures is like Directed Drawing for Math practice!

My students are ALWAYS in need more practice of the core math facts through the year. Using fun games with flash cards makes it fun to practice and results in increased speed of computation - necessary when concepts become more complex in later grades.

Students use a comprehensive collection of math task card sets (included) to record and answer math questions.
Beside each question is a directed drawing task that is used to create their own picture, step by step!
For example, with each math question answered, students follow directions to draw first a head, then eyes, etc. Every picture turns out different!

This is a partner game where students complete a picture collaboratively. Meaningful discussion of math occurs as students deliberate their answers.

There are different drawing templates and topics for each math concept.
This will ensure that students don't get bored with the same drawing as they work through different math topics. My students look forward to a different picture to draw each week!

Each set contains:

- 24-36 math task cards on the math topic.
- 24-36 answer keys (organized in such a way that you can print or copy back to back so that the answer is on the back of each card for each single piece of paper. A huge time saver! Just print, laminate and cut.

- A unique new drawing template (25 different directed drawing templates with a unique set of directions each time)

- A set of cover cards to organize task cards.

-Blank cards to make your own set or replace missing cards.

We all know that students using task card sets beside each at a table will likely get them all mixed up! For this reason, each math set has a unique identifying picture in the corner that makes clean up easy, even for young students. The picture also matches the directed drawing topic, so it's all easy to organize!

**NOTE: Your download contains each set in it's own file for easy organization and printing, as well as the same complete sets in a compressed single file version so you can print all the sets at once. You can choose what works for you!

More Math Topics

Do you need math topics that are not covered above?
Don't worry - you can use the directed drawing templates with ANY math flash cards! Just use your own cards with any of the drawing templates.

Single Player Option

Although this is a partner game to encourage peer discussion about math concepts, it can also be played alone by early finishers or even as home practice!
My students LOVE this kind of "homework"!

Early Finishers

What about early finishers?
Students can immediately start another picture with more of their task cards. If you're using dry erase markers, students can simply start again. If you're using paper copies, have lots of blank copies available so students can try different details of their directed drawing!

Students LOVE writing about their drawings! Copy the generic writing pages (included!) on the back of each drawing template, and students can write a story about their creations!
Math + Writing + Art is true integration of subjects and makes learning more fun and meaningful for your students.

This is always a challenge, but I've found the easiest solution after 20+ years of trying different ideas!
I use small plastic organizers with drawers - the kind for office supplies!
Each one has 4 or 5 drawers, and each drawer holds a set of task cards. So easy!

Students can simply grab the whole drawer and take it to their desks to work. After gathering all the cards with the matching pictures on them, they return the whole drawer.
