This download includes one page of fully illustrated step by step directions on how to draw, paint, and shade with pastel a polar bear. I did not come up with this lesson - I don't know where it came from ¯\_(ツ)_/¯. I started teaching it to my first graders a few years ago after I saw a coworker teach it, or I saw it on pinterest, or something. I made the handout- but I have my first graders follow along with me as I draw it. It's one of those projects where they all look the same, which is kind of annoying, but because the kids are little they start to look wonky and cute. I use this lesson to teach cool colors and a little bit of shading. Here and here are some my kids have made.

If you love art, check out my paintings for sale on ImageKind, or my crazy earrings on Etsy, or No Corner Suns and art teacher merch on Redbubble.

Don’t forget to check out my blog for more lessons, slideshows, and a lot of free ideas.

I have lots of lesson videos on my YouTube channel, No Corner Suns, and I’m also an Artsonia After School Art Club art teacher!

Finally, you can check out my Instagram @NoCornerSuns as well. I would love if you made some of my projects and tagged them #nocornersuns. It would fill my heart with so much joy.

Thanks for checking out my TPT shop. I use these things, and have fun sharing them.
