The card game, Direction Connection, is a classroom card game where each student follows directions and has a task to perform as indicated on their card. If students listen, watch, and follow the directions correctly on the cards, all students perform their task and the game ends with each student doing the designated task.
An "answer key" is included for the teacher.
Direction Connection is based on a series of directions that students need to follow. Each student receives a card that they will need to read and perform the directions as indicated on the card. Pass out a card randomly to each student. There are thirty cards in this deck, if you have less than thirty students in your class, give some students two cards. Instruct students to read their card. You will need to emphasize that it is important to read the card and pay attention during the game. Students will need to listen and watch other students. Each card informs the student the task they are to perform. The first student to begin will have the card that says, “You are going to start this game!”.
This is an excellent game to leave with a substitute as well.
