Oops! This sign is a classroom reminder that helps students monitor their mistakes. When corrected work is handed back, the students reference this rhyme to plan their response. If they’ve made 1-2-3 mistakes, they need to look them over to see where they went wrong. If they have 4-5-6 errors, they need to correct them to make sure they understand their mistakes. Should the student get 7-8-9 (or more) incorrect, they need to have their parent or guardian sign the paper so those at home are aware that the student had difficulty with the skill and they should try to fix them together. This rhyme is an easy mnemonic device that will minimize the need to repeat Directions for Corrections!
